Finally~~ Health and Safety... I was wandering when are we going to get to this topic... I did quite alot of Health and Safety before I came here... To be honest... I did alot until i was REALLY AFRAID of it... OSHA, MSDS, EPA, COSHH, NIOSH etc. kinda alot of it... but all those not in detail with all the rules and regulation in it... It might also make as a memory refresh for me...
So today talk all about Health and Safety... but further in would be HSE Health and safety of employment.. so we start off to our groups and as usual we have to fit in all health and safety into our group project... We had alot of things to be done, alot of objectives and task given... so we sit down in the library and start a hard brainstorming session together... I was incharge with plan drawing and also employee information on H&S... drawing the although was easy but still we have to brain storm it for the right place to fit the first aid, fire exit, fire extinguisher and other health and safety factors... Feel like today our group really did use all of our brain in doing all this project as we even forget and din really feel hungry or rest when we brain storming and did the project...
Glad having all of them together that we really work it out for our project and did show results from it... Although the time given was short and not really enough for us to done the research thoroughly.. but we still manage to get the project and topic done in time...
Wander it is really alot of work and troublesome if really have to set up a workshop.. it is not as simple as it seems as it have to obey to all the rules and regulation set by the government... For employer will be facing problems upon health and safety of workers, customers, building and structure, providing safety clothing and equipment, provide training for the employee... and as for the employee... you just have to obey to the rules and be alert to own safety as well as others...
Safety is really an important issue and it should not be taken lightly... Sometimes Life never give you a second chance by just a small little mistake that you did.....

Week 4
Today in class topic will be Sustainability to Environment. Once attend this class I just realise that sustainability is way more efficiency than to just preserve or protect the environment.. As to just protect the environment.. we did keep the environment safe from harm but on the other hand we won't be able to gain resources that needed. Sustainability is where you use up the resources but on the other hand you maintain the environment in good position. E.G. Cutting trees will let us gain resources while we plant back the tree ten times the resources we had use... In this way the resources will still be maintain till future usage and also in the meantime we gain resources for development.
Today we were giving a task to manage for our groups project regarding to few subject that involve in it :-
a) Environmental
- Reduce harmful act towards environmental and mother earth
b) Social
- Benefit the people or client that uses our services
c) Economic
- Increase our group's financial by being green to mother earth and also legally.
d) Governance
- Following the rules, law and legislation that set up by the government.
We were given about 2 hours++ to came up with ideas, rules, government body that concerning towards our services etc. It's quite a heavy brain storming session as each of us in the group were struggling to get more of the information through the net and also the library.... Glad that we were really co-operative with each other and we did our own task that been given well... We also did a presentation/slides which would hope it will be beneficial for our presentation.....
We barely finish all our information, slides just on time... Although we would had got more details and do more research on it if we do have more times to spare.... but times are at stake so i feel that we really did all we could for this... Gain some knowledge through this group task too~~~

Week 3
TOday we will be giving hand written assignment and Sylila give us a brief about the assignment that we had to do... As she explain the assignment, i was starting to feel worry about the assignment as it will involve with more and more research that needed to be done and i was still stuck with 2 other subject assignment... but oh well.. this can't be avoided but to push myself even harder forward... Got 3 case study that we needed to choose out and thoroughly research on the matter and question that rise in the case study... At least Sylila did some guide line for us as it will help us alot in doing our assignments... After the tea break we will attend another class given by the librarian about how to access on database and also the catalogue through internet online... From the lesson i do learn alot that we can actually find alot of resources through Unitec Portal... It is very convenience indeed and it does help us alot to find legal and accurate information through the Unitec Library Internet Web Page.... I do hope i can really done my research and have lots of information for my assignment that i'm going to do.... Later on we attend the APA Referencing Citation class... It was another good lesson as i absorb lots of information and the technique to do APA referencing and it will be apply to our assignment....
I just realise that doing assignment indeed very troublesome as Complex Referencing like the APA format is needed... This is also another way to protect us from being copyright other people's work... but too is troublesome... haha... but then hope that i be able to do it well and Pass With Flying COlours~~~!!

Week 2
Today we started to learn more of Customer Service Satisfactory and what we really should do to archive C.S 1 (Customer Satisfactory)..
One of my group was dropout today feel kinda sad as to why we can't click with each other.. but still happy to have another new member into my group and the group won't be quiet and too have a new brain and a new guy to get to know and brainstorming together was also part of the experience that I had gain. Today we started to though of the Customer Service that our company can provide to our client and all other related department such as Local Government, Employees, Client, etc. relating to our last week project that we have work it out.
Thinking of the problems is kinda fun but I was thinking if I were to thought on this question alone... I won't be cracking out much question and problem.. we have 4 brains working so although it doesn't comes out a hundred of ideas but a dozen is working fine for the topic.
Just mainly thinking alone won't do much out of it so luckily we have more brains to work out on this topic and came out that our group are doing fine while working on the notes and also doing for the presentation. I do have stage fright especially facing everyone in front of the hall... I do have my embarrassed moment i had last few years but I'm happy that i'm doing better than I though today.... Told myself to speak more if possible to improve my charisma and also getting myself less of stage fright so I would be more presentable and hope that my information will reach everyone's mind.
Glad that today our new group are doing All Well and I've kinda looking forward for next week as what's more are going to come and what's more new stuff I'm going to learn in order to improve myself as I do lack in social ability and wanted to get to know more of other people.

Week 1
Now alexz blog is officially created and is a learning log of Lim Yuen on subject Health and Safety 5110 APT.
Today topic that we learn will be "Our Finite World".
We have been separated into many groups and Me, Christ, Mohammed, Sermyn and Ming are on the same group and we been given a assessment to think of a project. The project was a freelance project that any ideas will be able to use as the project to make ourselves to be more creative. So we gather at the library at a given time and thought of many ideas and finally we came out with ideas where there will be Automated Transportation for Car Pooling by using Water to operate. By having a group discussion was really nice. We get to know more ideas and learn more from all the ideas given. It's also give me the motivation to do this project as the ideas keep on flowing out from our minds. We also get to know with each other more while discussing. Even right after discussion I still having all those ideas coming out from my brain.
Basically we would expect most of the groups might talk bout resources I.E Fuels (petrols, diesel, fossil) which would harm our world. I feel that if we really wanted to save the earth, all the human must united and together carry out activities such as "GO GREEN".
So today most of the group really came out with ideas that concern to usage of fuels. Another group doing pretty well in their brainstorming and discussing session as they even analyse further details bout their project which will be Water Operated Transportation.
From the group sharing together with all the other groups, I feel that most of us here are aware that the world are facing crisis as human starts creating pollution to harm the world. The next thing will be.... "Will Everyone Act on like what they had really plan and act from what they really aware of?"
I hope i was going to have a good project out from our group and created something really useful for the future of the environment and also for globe.. having more ppl aware of the environment and keep elsewhere clean is really going to help and dispose of rubbish according to the specific bins or location...
